Brief Answer:
About hair loss and Diabetes:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I have gone carefully through your concern.
High blood sugar does not cause hair loss. The treatment you are actually taking for Diabetes seems good, but you need to check glucose level and keep monitoring HbA1c (the mean glucose level of the last three months).
Regarding to hair loss, i would suggest to check thyroid gland function (TSH,FT4 and FT3), a full blood count and iron level.
These are the most common causes of hair loss.
If they result within the normal ranges, see a dermatologist for local treatment.
Hope i have answered your query.
Best wishes,
Dr.mirjeta

Brief Answer:
about diabetes and hair loss;

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

Type 1 Diabetes has autoimmune etiology and these patients have a tendency for other pathologies with autoimmune origin such as alopecia areata (patchy hair loss, not diffuse).

So, diffuse hair loss does not have any relation to Diabetes.

Please check for the above-mentioned pathologies.
Hope I have been helpful.

Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta

Detailed Answer:
Ho again,
It can not chamge grom type 2 to type 1, but you should be sure its type 2. You need to check the antibodies of pancreas to rule out autoimmunity ( type 1).
