Having Urination Problem. Ultrasound And Uroflometry Normal. What Is Causing This?

default
Posted on Mon, 23 Jul 2012
Question: well.. am having a urination problem about a year now... i feel like some urine is always stuck in my urethra which makes me going for urinate on and on throughout the day and night..i think am not able to empty my bladder at once.. when i hold the urine for a very long time the flow and volume is somewhat good.. but when i XXXXXXX the flow and volume is very poor...
1. no infection right now(was having infection before its cleared now)
2. no prostate problem(conformed by urologist after DRE)
3. Cystoscopy (no srticture)
4. BLOOD sugar noRmal
5. ultrasound normal
6.uroflometry normal(but i did uroflomerty after holding the urine for a very long time as mention earlier)
note: according to me i think there is something obstructing the urine.. somewhere where the doctors could not identify from their various diagnosis.... am just too fed up to to visit my doctors anymore.. cos they think am a crazy fool.. they did not gave me any medication but rather told me to make a urine input output chart.. and report later.. they are just not listening to what am trying to explain about my problems in details.. rather they will just run some test and diagnosis and done with it.. am just so depressed rather in the mean time my life is becoming miserable.. TY... waiting for your positive response..

Hello and thanks for the query.
Since all the investigations done by different doctors have turned out to be normal,it looks that your symptoms have been brought on by stress or anxiety, causing an unconscious tension of the muscles down there, which eventually results in the frequent and constant urge to urinate, despite a fairly empty bladder. This, unfortunately, only makes you more anxious.
There is no reson to disbelieve the doctors and their investigation reports

So my recommendation to you for the time being  would be to relax.  The more relaxed you remain, the more you can keep your mind off of your troubles, and the better the chances are that you'll be feeling normal again soon.

So stay cool, and take solace in the fact that your tests show that you don't have anything more serious. You also don't have a bacterial infection or any disease . I truly believe this is as much a mental condition as it is a physical one, so it's very important that you believe you'll be okay soon, and not dwell on the suspicion that you have some incurable, untraceable bacteria or any disease  in your system that will plague you for the rest of your life. You don't.
The key to conquering it for life, I believe, is to learn to relax and not think so much about your current troubles down there.

Learn to de stress yourself by resorting to yoga and XXXXXXX breathing exercises.
Take plenty of water and hydrate yourself well.
Avoid caffeine by avoiding tea, coffee and colas.
Do regular exercises.
You may consult your doctor and take some anti anxiety medicine for few days.

I hope to have answered your query however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

well ya you are right in one way.. that it might be due to stress.. cos i use to stress a bit sometimes cos after every possible things i tried to get well but all failed or rather not that effective in the long run.. well in this just one year or so.. my urine problem is like on and off.. ya i was cured or relieved for sometime before many times but yet again it use to come back.. so that makes me feel frustrated sometimes.. cos ill be very happy and enjoying my life but all of a sudden it use to come back slowly with the same symptoms which makes me depressed a bit.. cos when am trying or completely forgetting and trying to get a healthy life.... from no where the symptoms will start slowly again.... and ya.. i have been put with anxiety medicine before too.. and right now also am having tryptomer 10 mg daily once.. 30 days.. so lets hope for the best.. and ya am not thinking that i have some untraceable or non curable disease like that.. but i just use to wonder when all my test and diagnosis are normal then what is the cause of all this shits happening to me.. and i feel stress alone cannot be the cause of all this... cos i XXXXXXX have any other issue related to family or relationship or something... am just bit worried about my health lol.. thanks...
