Does Taking Vonavir Ensure Elimination Of HIV Virus?

Question: Hi sir, I had protected sex with a prostitute but the condom tore, soon I consulted a doctor, he asked me to have vonavir for 28 days. I am worried will this dose help in eliminating the virus. The tablet was taken within 24 hrs.

Brief Answer: no test is 100% reliable Detailed Answer: Hello, Sensitivity and specificity of a single HIV DNA PCR test is excellent at 98.8% and 99.4%. No test is 100% reliable. By far, this is the best test for HIV diagnosis. A negative test result indicates that you are either not infected with HIV, or was tested too soon after exposure to detect infection. There is no such thing like count of cell in the test results. Hope this clarifies.

ma'am, post exposure i took a test after 28 days the name of the test was HIV IV generation test and HIV elisa test, both the test were negative, the doctor told me not to worry as i am not infected. I am still worried, pls ans the following queries. 1. can i be assured that i am not infected i.e negative. (currently I am not taking any medication nor do i have any symptoms) 2. Was the test taken early or is the result negative because of the tablet Vonavir? 3. What precautions should i take now.
