Brief Answer:
Thanks for trusting health care magic

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. We doctors at health care magic are always there to help the patients and solve their queries.
Being a high risk pregnancy and fetal medicine specialist, I consider each pregnancy and every baby in uterus to be very precious, both for the mother and the treating doctor.
Pregnancy is a long journey to cover with altering situations and health issues, and requires time to time consultation and treatment.
Pregnancy is divided into three trimester, approximately 3 months each, with each requiring different investigations and treatment.
Since you are in your first trimester, you should get basic investigations like ultrasound, blood group, haemoglobin levels, TSH level, blood sugar levels, urine microscopy and routine examination done. You should take high protein diet and take folic acid tablet 5 mg daily as taking it in first trimester reduce the chances of congenital anomalies in the fetus.
THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT IS : if you want to remain in follow up with a particular single doctor on this site, throughout your pregnancy, then you have to either a DIRECT QUERY or a specialist query mentioning the doctor's name in the opening line.
If you want to follow up with me throughout your pregnancy, then put a direct query for DR XXXXXXX XXXXXXX or ask a specialist query starting as " This query is for Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX ....".
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
Regards,

Thank u doctor for your fast reply.. I appreciate it..
Ok for now i will give u more information and dates .. My last period was XXXXXXX 5 2015 and on day 18 XXXXXXX i had an ovulation home test which was positive .. I had intercourse on day 19 XXXXXXX and day 21 XXXXXXX . By the way the reason why i wasnt able to be pregnant is that my husband sperm count was 3 million per ml .. But after taking medication for 3 months it became 16 million per ml and he stopped medication and we didnt check again but i was surprised that on first july when i took a home pregnancy test i was pregnant i usualy play with home tests every month so i wasnt expecting to be pregnant at all with his low sperm count.. So then i went to the doctor and had hcg test it was 197 .. They told me its too early but it seems that i mught be pregnant.. But i was told to come after o missed my period because i went before i missed my period.. So i did and went and took another pregnancy test this time it only showed either negative or positive it didnt show the hcg levels.. And it turned out positive.. They told me that its too early to make an trasound so they told me to go rest and come back after 2 weeks which will be next week when im 6 weeks pregnant from last period and almost one month with real baby in me.. Now im waiting for the visit to check if my baby is inside the uterus and its developing alright they told me not to announce my pregnancy because it was too early and they should make sure that the pregnancy is developing in the correct place before we can say im pregnant.. That is a concern to me .. Specialy that the doctor told me not to take anything also folic acid i should stop it and when i see him next time he will tell me what i need.. Thats why i wasnt ok because as happy i was he gave me something to worry about and i know that folic acid is good before evwn pregnancy to help moms to prepare so im worried now that this is not a good doctor .. Specialy that i have fastric sleeve operation so i need more vitamines than other women .. Thats all i can say for details.. I will attach my cbc test for you i did it on july first

Brief Answer:
Be positive and hopeful

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, pardon me for being a bit late in answering you. By your last menstrual period, your gestation age today is 5 weeks 5 days, so you can very well go for the ultrasound after 2 days to assess the location of pregnancy and viability of the fetus. Moreover, the location of pregnancy can be diagnosed by a proper pelvic examination by an OBGYN specialist.
You should take folic acid tablet daily anyway, irrespective of the location of pregnancy, because there are only benefits of this vitamin, and no side effects are reported even if the pregnancy is ectopic ( outside uterus, which is abnormal).
Apart from folic acid, you should take multivitamins and high protein diet.
Your blood report is normal.
I suggest you not to worry, and be happy, as stress has adverse effects on the fetus. Be positive and hopeful, everything will be fine.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back to me for further queries.
Wishing you good health.

Dr Deepti Verma

Brief Answer:
Vitamin B 12 supplementation

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, thanks for responding. I would like to suggest you to take multivitamins containing vitamin B 12 and folic acid, as gastric sleeve surgery can lead to deficiency of vitamin B 12 in the body. Moreover, take a diet rich in iron and protein.
Avoid taking calcium and iron tablets in first trimester.
Investigations like B 12 levels and folate levels can be done, but usually they are not recommended in pregnancy.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
