Question: Taking FETZIMA 40 mg for a week. Will this do bleeding in the stools??
I had COLITIS before. I take medication before.

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.

Fetzima itself cannot cause bleeding on stool as a side effect. However it can cause constipation as a side effect which can worsen existing bowel pathology and contribute to blood in stool. You had history of colitis. Better to consult your doctor for evaluation of blood in stool. If you feel constipated after starting Fetzima, it is better to stop the same also.
