Does Amlodipine Besylate Cause Weakness Along With Tingling In Head And Hands?
Question: My husband is taking Amlodipine Besylate 5 mgs. He is also taking Androgel testerone. Lately he has been having episodes of weakness, tingling in his head and hand and mouth , also nausea. Can this be related to either of the meds?

Noted your concern. The symptoms mentioned are not commonly associated with either androgel or Amlodipine. However it may be good to check his Fasting testosterone levels. If he has low testosterone levels , that itself can cause tiredness and lethargy etc. It's also good to get a vitamin B12 level and Fasting blood glucose. besides, please get his Blood pressure checked in lying and standing position. many blood pressure pills including Amlodipine can cause a drop in blood pressure particularly on standing which can cause giddiness.
may i suggest thst he should get his Fasting sugar, ,testosterone levels, cbc, and a Vitamin B12 done in addition to a proper clinical examination .
