Does Amberen Help Post Menopausal Weight Gain?

Question: Will Amberen help post menopausal weight gain and low libidos even if one is 61 years old? Or is it just hopeful thinking? Had a hysterectomy at age 34 and was on Premerin until the age of 52. The last 10 years I have aged with weight gain, an increase of arthritis etc. is this supplement something that could help? I do not have hot flashes. Never did.

Amberen is a herbal supplement and it is not having any medicine in it.
The role of amberen in weight loss is still not very clear.
In my opinion you can take it but no definite result guarantee.
Premarin also cause weight gain.
Advice to you from my side-
- avoid any medicine for weight loss
- Take less carbohydrate and sugar and salt
- take a lots of vegetables, fruits
- you can take calcium and multivitamin as a supplement
- do some light exercise,yoga, walking and meditation
In my opinion change in life style and eating habbit are more helpful in weight at this age rather any medicine.
