Posted on Fri, 11 Dec 2015
Question: Hi my name is XXXX female and 39 years old. I have health issues since 7 month. Got diagnosed with Gastritis and microscopic colitis. I am always weak, muscle weakness, lower back pain and have tingling all over my body. My blood work looks out of rack as well. My doctors never seemed concerned and always told me my blood work is fine until I checked my records myself. My platlets are always low, my MPV higher than normal and my WBC lower than normal. My Platlets in the last 4 month range feom 116-135, my WBC either normal or 3.65. I also have low Iron and low Vitamin D. I am so afraid of Leukemia or similar. I had another blood check done yesterday but didnt get the results yet.

Brief Answer:
Chances of leukemia is very rare with this features.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Your WBC count is slightly lower and platelets are also slightly low. But it can be seen in viral infection or due to nonspecific causes. If your WBC differential count is normal then no need to worry. Please send me your all reports so that I can help you further and guide you. For low iron and vitamin D you should take supplements of iron and vitamin D.

Don't worry much about leukemia. Please send me your all reports so that I can help you further. I will wait for your reports.
