Brief Answer:
Birth control pill can cause headache.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

1) Yes, birth control pill can cause headache as side effect in most women. It can aggravate the presenting sinus condition.

2) Hormonal imbalance causes nasal congestion and stuffy nose, leads to post nasal drip. Allergy, dust, environmental factor, acid reflux etc may be some other causes.

3) I suggest you to consult with ENT specialist for proper clinical examination, necessary investigation (like X-Ray or CT scan) and proper management.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and take care yourself.

How long does it last? Im not on treatment or medication. Just over the counter medincines like Excedrin Migraine and Ibprofen. The headache is right behind my forhead and feels like a sinus headache. My nose is not stuffy, just dry. The headache makes me feel lightheaded and naseous.

Brief Answer:
Consult with ENT specialist. Need proper treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for follow up query.

1) You may need to change your contraceptive method for effective result. Birth control pill DOESN'T suit in some percentage women.

2) Over the counter medication is NOT helpful in your case as you are getting this headache repeatedly for few months. You need to consult with your ENT specialist for necessary investigation (as mentioned above).

3) You may require complete course of antibiotic treatment WITH or WITHOUT intranasal corticosteroids. Steam inhalation, hot shower bath, painkiller will give temporary relief. Kindly, procure complete prescription from your doctor.

Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion.

All the best and good luck.
