Question: diagnosed with a fatty brain tumor on the top of the brain. I also have multiple sclerosis. symptons are dizziness, right eye sight optic neuritis , balance, cognitive impairment, nausea, vomiting, do I get the tumor removed?

Brief Answer: Please send in complete brain scan report details Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX, Thanks for writing in to us. I have read through your query in detail. I would request you to send in complete report details of your brain scan (CT scan or MRI scan). This will tell the exact location, dimension, origin and probably composition of the mentioned fatty brain tumor. It is important to have the above information before I can opine if the tumor removal is necessary and if it will decrease your symptoms. The brain has got many areas and some of them are most important while a fatty tumor in some areas can be left and observed for a while. The features of the tumor will also give us any suspicion if the dizziness, right eye sight optic neuritis , balance, cognitive impairment, nausea, vomiting might be closely related to the tumor and if its removal will really help. Waiting to hear an update from your end. Regards, Dr.Vivek

just wondering how much this will cost me. My son has anaplastic oligodendroglioma, grade 3 in his cerebellum. His surgery is 80% partial and standard treatment of 6 weeks IMRT radiation with 115mg temodar, then, one year of 320mg temodar for 5 days out of each month. Radiation ended July, 2010, Temodar ended 2011. He responded well to temodar. For the last year he has been falling many times. He was put into the hospital for 6 days and rehab for a month of strengthening. He is home now, just ended his last 5 days of 220mg temolozide for this month. I need to know why he is so physically weak after stopping on the 5th day of this drug? He forgets and has fallen twice. I notice him standing in one place trying to think of what to so next or where he was going. Can you help me? I have no money to pay for your answer. J

I ve just had an MRI that said: Nonspecific T2/flair hyperintense foci within subcorical white matter of the left frontal lobe . Findings could be seen with early chronic smaill vessel ischemic changes or migraines among others. What does this actuall mean? Also stated Normal IAC s and No evidence for meningioma or other mass lesions both intra-axial and extra-axial. I have had sinus issues for a year with no relief and phantom smells. After all that, now you ask for money? No thanks. Should have started with that so I didn t waste my time.
