Brief Answer:
Symptoms can be present without HIV .

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query.I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
According to my interpretation of the sentence it appears you are negative for HIV by the tests but you think you are having symptoms suggestive of Late stage HIV.
Herpes (cold sores)can be present and recurrent in many normal individuals .It can spread by kiss or skin to skin contact or as STDs.so allay fear that all herpes patients have HIV.Fever is common in them also.
weight loss can be due to psychological or improper diet or due to herpes or else fear etc. it need not be always HIV.Please take antivirals as recommended by your doctor for herpes.
Fatty liver is found in many obese people or it may due to abnormal pathology also.these may also lead to weight loss.
It is not clear which tests were done and which reports were negative. You can get back with details of reports and when was it done,About the history of likely mode of acquiring HIV (intercourse or else), other disease or symptoms etc.
So these symptoms can be present without HIV if tests are negative and done at appropriate time.
You can get back to me for any clarifications .
Thank you
Dr Bharatesh
