Brief Answer:
Not all patients successful with tanning bed as u

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

1. Plavix is a blood thinner that is included among medications that would cause drug-induced photosensitivity. There is only few studies determining this effect. That's why our recommendations are to limit/avoid the use of tanning beds while taking such drugs (including Plavix).

2. I am happy to know that you have been using tanning beds successfully with no problem. However, not all my patients that have used it did have the same success in return. Some of them have reported several skin problems, and only a couple of my patients have been diagnosed with skin cancer.

3. Our duty (as medical doctors) is to advise our patients toward things that would get them benefits and not harmful. The decision is upon our patients: whether they want to follow our advice or not.

4. What is natural won't cause harm to our body. What is introduced artificially to our body (including foods, drinks or tanning beds) they carry their own risk for potential side effects.

Hope it helped!
