No pleurisy can not cause gas troubles.

I can understand your situation and problem.
But, pleurisy can not cause gas pain or trouble directly.
Pleurisy is inflammation of pleura.
The most common cause for this is infection.
It causes chest pain on coughing.
So if you are taking painkiller or antibiotics for pleurisy then these drugs can cause gas trouble.
But pleurisy can not cause gas pain directly.

Can the pains be from a gall bladder problem-----can the gas be from a hiatal hernia-----could it be a heart problem?

Gas pain can be due to
1. Gastritis
2. Gall bladder problem
3. Heart problems
4. Hiatus hernia etc.
So please let me know what are you symptoms like along with gas pain, do you have burning sensation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal fullness etc? Do you have backache? Do you have palpitations with chest tightness?
And what was pleurisy thing?
