Can Food Be Heated In The Microwave After Adding Zithromax Z-Pak?
Question: I have been prescribed a z-pac. I want to mix the zithromax in my food. If I heat the food in the microwave, will it render the zithromax ineffective?

It is a bad idea to microwave the drug. It will definitely denature the drug and will render it ineffective altogether.
To mix the drug in food I suggest you to take the medicine in between the food. I mean take some meal. Then take the tablet with water, and take rest of the meal thereafter. But don't dissolve or microwave it. Over room temperature it will get denatured.
