Can Elevated Sugar Levels And Dizziness Be Controlled While Treating Acid Reflux?

Question: i am 36 years old suffering from acidityor acid reflux or gerd from last 7.5 years. i think my pitt is also increased and sugar level is found increased but now controlled .Since one year i am also suffering with dizziness and whenever i wish to sleep deep i suffers with dizziness.Everything remains good throughout day but when i wake up in morning mouth is found sore and feels dizzines and whit liquid like saliva comes from mouth and feel lots of heartburn whole night.
My cholestrol level was also increased.
Whole night i feel heartburn.
i never feel any problem in running or any type of hardwork.
Please help me

Hello.thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist.

You are having severe GERD leading to these symptoms.

You have not mentioned medicines which you are taking for heartburns and control for sugar levels as diziness may be the side effect of those.

I will like to advise you to:
1.avoid caffeine that is tea coffee spicy foodand citrus fruits
2. Avoid lying down and water soon after meals at least for 2 hrs
3. Take a proton pump inhibitor like ilaprazole along with levosulpiride once a day before breakfast. This is the best available proton pump inhibitor available till date and I found this combination to be veryuseful in my patients with GERD.
