Can Buttermilk Or Cottage Cheese Be Consumed While Having Irregular Bowel Habits?

86 y o male, history of irregular bowel habits. Been taking Dr. Stepen Gundry's Vital Reds & Prebiotics for about a month. No noticeable change in appetetite (remains high) or energy level (low). Yesterday, I ate or drank something that has gone through me "like a dose of salts". Afraid to get too far from bathroom. have been drinking lots of water to keep myself hydrated. reluctant to take anything like Kaopectate, fearful of constipation. Do you think it'll be ok to take low fat cottage cheese, buttermilk or yogurt? any suggestions?

Anaerobes outnumber facultative anaerobes. The flora is sparse in the stomach and upper intestine, but luxuriant in the lower bowel.Due to old age and many other factors this flora of gut is deplished and lead to various problems with digestive system including loose stools or constipation,As digestion is not good level of energy will be low.
