Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way .

Yes anxiety can surely cause gastric issue. These are called as stress ulcers and they can cause pain and burning on stomach. Anxiety can also cause diarrhea.

To help with your symptoms ..You need to do a few things..

Here is what i would advise you to do.

MOST IMPORTANT: Try to coup up with your anxiety learn relaxing techniques, stay busy, distracted and don't let anxiety to this far which might hurt younand affect your stomach.

1) Reduce weight if you are overweight.
2) Avoid coffee,caffeine, cigarette , alcohol, energy drinks, fizzy drinks (what ever is relevant)
3) Use high fibre diet like whole wheat and XXXXXXX products, multi grain bread
4) Fibre supplements can be used.
5) Drink loads of fluids.
6) Eat more fruits and vegetables less fat and red meat.

7)For bruning you can take Tums or Syrup Gavisvon to control acid.
8)Eat smaller multiple meals instead of binge eating.
9)If this doesnt work in 7-10 days then contact doctor about further treatment options in that case i woule recommend my similar patients to take PPI (omeprazole 40mg daily) and A prokinetic like motillium
