Flomax is known as tamsulosin and is a very good drug to treat symptoms of prostate obstruction. There were several good quality studies showing that intake of saw palmetto is the same as intake of placebo tablets.

So to answer your question I wouldn't recommend changing your Flomax to palmetto.
