Brief Answer:
it is very uncommon.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I admire you for positive outlook.

Citalopram is SSRI, an antidepressant.
In most of the cases it does not cause dark urine.

It is very uncommon.
Did you take any other medicines with citalopram???

Sometime insufficient water intake along with medicine can cause dark urine.

Sometimes it occurs when you start medicine in initial doses.

So no need to worry.

It will go within few days.

Drink water as much as possible.

if perisist more than 3 days then go for urine analysis.

But it will resolve soon.

still if you have query than feel free to ask.

Always here to help you.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Hi it safe to take along with all medicines.

Detailed Answer:
Hii

Thank you for revert back.

The medicine that you have mentioned suggest you have diabetes and hypertension.

Though citalopram is safe to take along with that medicine.

But it would better to switch to ecitalopram which active metabolite of citalopram.

Escitalopram is safest among all antidepressant and you will take it along with all this medicines.

As I said it will go soon and drink as much as water.

If persists then need to do urine analysis.
Kindly check your sugar also.

Still have query than feel free to ask.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
It can be occur in infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

It can be occur in kidney infection but not so common.

Urine analysis will show if any infection in kidney.

But as I said earlier it may occur initially and drink water as much as possible.

If persist then go for following test.

1. Complete blood count.
2. Urine analysis.
3. Ultrasonography of abdomen.

These tests will help to rule out infection and other pathology.

Please revert back if any query.

Thank you.
