Brief Answer:
only taken once daily

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Bisoprolol has a half life of 9 to 12 hours. The half life of a drug is the time it takes for the amount of drug in the system to decrease by half.

Because of the pharmacology of the drug, it is normally advised that it is taken once daily.

Bisoprolol acts on certain receptors (areas) in the heart. These particular areas control the heart rate. It causes a decrease in heart rate.It would be one of the medications that can be prescribed to help persons with increased heart rate or palpitations.

It is possible that the decrease in heart rate is causing your lightheaded sensation.
If this is the case for you then the dose may need to be decreased back to the 2.5mg but again only once a day.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Brief Answer:
ct and mri would not help

Detailed Answer:
HI

Cardiac investigations such as ECG, holter (24 hour ecg) or stress test would have looked for abnormal rhythms of the heart.

There are some types of palpitations (may be an abnormality in heart rate or rhythm) that are benign and cause no problem. There are other causes of palpitations that are associated with significant heart problems.

If your heart test did not reveal any significant cause for the palpitation then you do not need to worry. Significant problems would have been easily identified with these tests.

If you remain concern or not sure of the test results then you should consider speaking to your doctor.

IN terms of MRI and Ct , they would not be helpful with palpitations
