Brief Answer:
Antivert can cause cotton mouth rarely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for the query. I have read it .Dry mouth ( cotton mouth ) is the condition affecting dental & oral health as such & so can affect overall health.
I understand your concern.
Antivert is an antihistamine.. which helps combating nausea/ vomiting & dizziness caused by vertigo ( basic cause being trouble in inner ear )
* Antivert can cause dry mouth ( cotton mouth) very rarely & if at all it's due to the Antivert... it would go after use of the drug is stopped.& only home care can suffice.
* But if the cotton mouth lingers even after stopping... . We should also know about other possible causes of dry mouth including -
consuming less fluids(Dehydration)/exposure to excessive heat,
Tobacco chewing, caffeine or alcohol indulgence,
Sleeping with open mouth/ snoring
old age/anxiety/ depression/ psychological stress
History of -diabetes ( poorly controlled )/ Alzheimer/ Parkinson's disease/stroke
treatment for- infections ( antibiotics )/ for blood pressure( anti hypertensive) pills), steroids/ Chemotherapy
* So any one of these could be contributing in cotton mouth feeling you have. Therefore the probable cause to be found out with self observation/ doctor's help & management wit doctors help & home care, forms an important part of treatment.
* Nystatin lemon juice would give some relief , but scraping with baking soda would injure surface of tongue.. pl. avoid.
I hope that satisfies you. Any more information you need please don't hesitate.. to ask a follow up query .
Thanks.
