Question: Female 44. Started May 2023 progressively became worse: Bladder spasms with neck movement or stretching. Urinary incontinence no HX of UTI. Dysphagia NOS, Esophageal sphincter problems, weak swallows, GERD. Paresthesia right side, including face. Right sided weakness. Muscle fasciculations entire body, not painful (this started immediately after cardiac ablation). Weakness in hips, neck, shoulders, and trunk. Tremor in neck. Muscle coordination issues. Difficulties walking and ability to complete everyday tasks. No pain anywhere in body. HX of SVT cardiac ablation April 2023. Total thyroidectomy 2008. Levothyroxine 200 mcg per day for five years. TSH <0.014 or 0.01 for years. Nausea and vomiting x 10 months. Vision changes. No HX of headache. Neurological/CT/MRI work up negative. Mild stenosis of the spinal cord at c4-6 bulged disc. Mild scoliosis of the thoracic spine. Kyphosis of cervical spine. Moderate to severe foraminal stenosis of c4-6. Severe foraminal stenosis of L5-6. ANA negative. Paraneoplastic negative. CSF negative. Infection negative. No alcohol/drugs. No diabetes or other health issues. Is thyrotoxic myopathy possible? If so, can I heal from this?

Hi there,

Thanks for the query. You haven’t mentioned about your T3 and T4 levels. You have severe foraminal stenosis in cervical spine and L5-S1. These can cause weakness of limbs.

Paraesthesia of face especially on one side could be a sign of stroke. You need to have a CT head to confirm.
