Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to HCM forum.
Thanks for posting to us.

Cough can be caused either by a respiratory tract infection or asthma/airway reactivity. The former needs antibiotic treatment while the later can be treated with bronchodilators and airway desensitisers .
Your doctor might have suspected airway reactivity on evaluation and has given drugs for the same - steroids(budecort and wyslone), broncho dilators(levolin and adrenaline) and a mast cell stabiliser ( montair). All these drugs will help relieving cough by reducing airway reactivity , bronchodiatation, and reducing airway secretions. So kindly continue the drugs as your doctors advise.
Also, avoid exposure to cold and dust. This is very important as these can exacerbate the condition by causing broncho constriction.

If he is not feeling well by 2 days of treatment or fever appears, kindly get back to your doctor as we may need addition of antibiotics too.

Hope I have answered your query.

Thank you.
