Lactare tablets are an Ayurvedic or Indian herbal medicine. So I am not surprised that it is not available in UK. There is no other name. However I can provide you with the ingredients and you can check if a similar preparation is available in any Indian shop.
Lactare Capsules
Each capsule contains:
• Asparagus racemosus 200 mg
• Withania somnifera 100 mg
• Trigonella foenum graeceum 50 mg
• Glycyrrhiza glabra 50 mg
• Allium sativum 20 mg
Lactare Granules
Each 100 gm contains:
Extracts derived from:
• Asparagus racemosus 15g
• Ipomoea digitata 1g
• Tribulus terrestris 2g
• Lepidium sativum 1g
• Glycyrrhiza glabra 1g
• Cuminum cyminum 1g
• Anethum sowa 1g
• Cyperus rotundus 1g
Other measures are drink plenty of water as well as milk and ensure an adequate sleep to help milk production. Allowing the baby to suck the nipple also stimulates milk production.
Domperidone is very useful in increasing milk production.
Other herbal remedies are shatavari powder taken with milk to help improve milk secretion.
