What Does "staphylococcus Aureus Grown" Indicate In Pregnancy?
hi i am 16 weeks pregnant and in urine test i found staphylococcus aureus grown 1,00,000 count and plenty of puss cells and HPF seen.will it affect my baby ? now doctor has prescribed me to take ciprofloxacin and lactobalite for 5 days and take urine culture again.

hi staphylococcus in urine indicates that you are suffering from uti at the present. if left untreated it can increase chance of miscarriage and preterm delivery. but if treated there is no potential risk to the baby. you should take ciproflox for 5 days and lactobalite and I would also recommend you to take syrup alkasol 2 Tsf in a glass of water twice daily for 3 days. drink plenty of water min 10 12 glasses a day and you should have cranberry juice . you should get your urine culture done after 2 3 days after discontuining ciprolflox
