What Could Cause Long, Continued Periods With Large Clots While Having Polycystic Kidney And Liver Disease?

I am a 52 yr old female and as yet am not in the menopause but I have been having my period for 2 weeks now. In this time I have light days but on the whole I am having heavy days and I have lost 3 large clots too. It shows no sign of stopping. Is it significant to mention I have polycystic kidney and liver disease?

Hello,

Such menstrual irregularities are to be expected during the perimenopausal time. However, please be advised to followup with an ObGyn to undergo pelvic examination and pelvic ultrasound to rule out any uterine pathology.

Hope this answers your query
