Hello Lori.m.sweeney,

Welcome to the forum. You cannot neglect those bumps, it is nice to know that you have appointment with your gynecologist soon. You should be clinically examined before it can be diagnosed, you need to have a urine examination ( routine and culture sensitivity ) done to rule out UTI infection, E.coli is the causative organism for such pain, as symptoms may advance you may experience burning sensation on micturition and fever. Take plenty of water, soups and juices. Do not hold the urine for long, release it as soon as you get the pressure.

Those bumps can be due to psoriasis, some allergy, STD, etc. You should have a blood test ( VDRL and Australia antigen ) done to rule out STD. If you are a sexually active person you should take care of your hygiene. Make sure your partner is not the carrier of any such disease.

Eat well, you need antibiotics, fluids and medications for symptomatic treatment. Do not get panicky, consult your doctor at the earliest and get treated. Take care.
