Suggest Treatment For The Spreading Red Spots Over The Body

I have big red spots (started out as little red spots) on my upper arm (triceps) that look like bruising but I did not hit anything. Very painful to touch. At first the pain started out at the triceps (I have been exercising doing burpees, pushups, dips, etc) and it s slowly creeping towards my lower arm and elbow. Now it s painful to fully extend my arm. I have no clue of what s going on. This has been progressively getting worse over the past 3 days. Please help. Thanks.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history, you are having herpes zoster. My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an NSAID like ibuprofen for 5-7 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral acyclovir, antibiotics taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
