Understanding your concern. As per your query you daughter is having cough which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection/ lung infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult pediatrician for proper examination and diagnosis . Doctor may order certain test like blood test , viral culture test and throat swab test. Doctor may prescribe X-ray chest. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics such as Levofloxacin and decongestants. Start with anti inflammatory medication as well. Take cough expectorants and apply mist humidifiers in room. Do warm saline gargles daily. Avoid intake of cold beverages along with hot, spicy and sharp food.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
