Miscarriage Caused By Nocturnal Seizure Medicine, Body Sores, Pink Dots On Forehead, Nasal Problems. Treatment?
Hello,
I am having noctunal seizures every 3 to 4 months. I was taking seizure medicine but then got pregnant and lost the baby. Now I want to try to have a baby so I decided not to take medicine anymore.
My seizure is only during the night and I know when I have because my body sores and my forehead have pink dots all over. Since I moved to Seattle I have increased my allergy problems and every night my nose is blocked. My fiancee says i snore a lot and make some funny noses grasping for air. Did CPAP and they said I have medium sleep apnea.
My question is: should I go to a nose doctor and ask if it is possible to open up my nose strills so I can have more air and eventually this is the cause I am having seizures?
I did all the tests and nobody can find the cure. Please advise!
Hi and thanks for the query. you should definitely see an ENT specialist to find the reason for your nose block and possible causes for sleep apnea. Most common causes for longstanding nose block are 1) Nasal allergy 2) Deviated nasal septum. 3) Enlarged turbinates 4) Polyps. you will also require a sleep study to determine the extent of sleep apnea and the levels of obstruction. Seizures have no relation with your nose problems. Treatment of nose block will not have any effect on seizures. Regards, Dr Rajkishori
