Question: its an ENT problem. Internal nose got affected in almost a sudden manner in the night after during sleep after consumption and although snoring problem was already there but with this problem i started having pain along with snoring particularly while breathing out. consulted ENT specialist and he prescribed a course of antibiotic along with citrazin etc. Got temporay relief but problem persisted and sleep remains disturbed along with permanant burning in the nose and headache. consulted another specialist got CT scan done and as per him there is polypi as nothing came out in CT scan. Again he prescribed medicines similar to what was prescribed earlier but again temporary relief. problem is persisting for last one and half years and it gets aggravated with any exposure to cold and also alchohol.

Brief Answer:
You can try CPAP or Nasal Clamp devices.

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

I suggest that you use transparent plastic clamps like "EZ-sleep" before you go to sleep. This clamp can be applied over the nostrils at the bridge of the nose. This normalizes the breathing and eliminates the snoring. This is available at most pharmacies without a prescription. It can be ordered online too.

Your second option is to use CPAP - This means a device that gives Continuous Positive Airway Pressure.

You mention having tried most medications and even had a CT Scan done.

Don't you feel that you should try these 2 new methods as they may solve your problem?

Thanks,
Dr. Neel Kudchadkar
