What Causes Dryness In Mouth After Using Cpap Machine?

I was diagnosed with OSA so the doctors recommended a cpap machine. On the 3rd day I used it I woke up with excruciating pain in my teeth, like sensitive teeth and breathing was making my teeth even more sensitive. So I called the people who provided me with the Cpap and told them with the problem. They reduced the airpressure and increased humidity. A week later the problem arised and I am now over two weeks struggling with the pain, I did not even use the machine last night. I am taking panadols and amoxcicilin for the past 3 days. Did not contact them again yet as it s Christmas. My mouth is always dry with the machine. Last time I used it I could not even lick my lower lip from the inside with the dryness. Any suggestions?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

The cause of dryness mouth is dry air from CPAP. It needs more humidification. Try to drink more water so as to avoid dryness. Basically, it is a side effect of CPAP.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
