Heavy, Painful Bleeding On First Two Days Of Periods. Passing Clots, Gushes. Normal?

My periods are real heavy and painful the first 24 to 48 hours. I usually have big clots some are the size of a golf all or bigger and will "gush" out with no control. Many times I've bled a lot through my pants even with an extra super long pad on. Every few months I will get it twice a month. It's frustrating!! My obgyn says its normal, but I want a second opinion

Madam,you have not mentioned your age. If you have crossed your fourty-it's likely to be premenopausal,inyounger age also some harmonal irregularities cause menorragia
you need an examination,nessesory investigations &advice by a Gynac.
Yet simple pain killer/chlorzoxane-paracetamol combination/valethamate bromide -any of preparations may releave you of pain present.To be followed by cyclical hamonal tratment for 3 cycles.
