Have Vaginal Itch And Burn. Advised Yeast Infection Pill. Have Smelling Yellowish Discharge. Cramps, Tinge Of Blood. Problem?
not sure whats going on and as of right now have no way to the doctor or hospital, but for the past almost week i think. i have been having a horrible vaginal itch and burn. the doctor prescribed me a yeast infection pill not sure what it was called but a two pill prescription.it did not help. well yesterday i noticed a sort of infected smelling yellowish discharge. and tonight i noticed a tinge of blood in the discharge and am having horrible cramps in my lower stomach. kind of like menstrual cramps only sharper. im just wondering what this could be or at least narrowed down some until i can go to doctor or hospital. thank you in advance.
Hello. If you have yellow and tinged of blood discharge and lower abdominal pain, vaginal bacterial Infection (for example chlamydia) is a possible diagnosis. You should go to an Emergency Service. They will request additional test: a sample of your vaginal discharge for analysis and other tests and-probably-will give you to take antibiotic drug by mouth. It is necessary you go as soon as possible because if you do not take antibiotic drug in the next few hours, the infection can progress and affect utero. I wish you good health. (In case the answer would have been useful please indicate this)
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Vaginal itching with burning sensation & foul smelling discharge may be due to pelvic inflammatory disease . As you mentioned in your query that there is pain in stomach ( I think this pain is in lower part of abdomen). Yellowish foul discharge with blood tinge is usually indicates pelvic infection. So consult a Gynaecologist and get his opinion as physical examination is very important . Hope I have answered your question. If further any question I will help. Get well soon. Dr. HET
Most common vaginal infection associated with above clinical features are vaginal yeast infection or trichomoniasis. One vaginal swab test is usually required to confirm the diagnosis.
Eliminate certain factor like diabetes, using OCP/ IUCD, inserting objects inside vagina, poor genital hygiene etc.
You need to take oral anti-fungal medication along with vaginal suppository with metronidazole/ clindamycin at bed time to reduce this type of problem. Maintain genital hygiene properly. Take some anti-spasmodic cramp for cramp. Practice protected sex. Good luck.
