Hi, my query is surrounding periods and cerazette. I was on cerazette from june 2011 until August 2012. I had no problems whilst on it. I didn't have periods, sometimes had darkish discharge but was assured this was expected. I came off cerazette on advice from my GP after reviewing recent family events. I had my first normal period lasting five days in Sept 2012 and then one in Oct also. Since then though I've only had one proper period in Jan 2013. I did multiple pregnancy tests between oct and jan and visited the nurse who also did a test and assured again that it could take time for a regular cycle (which I had before cerazette) to return. Since Jan I have done pregnancy tests weekly all negative. Yesterday I started what I thought was a period but I'm not sure as it's very dark and clotted in appearance and has a vary strong iron smell. I really don't want to be pregnant. I use condoms when having sex and am very careful. What could be causing lack of periods if I'm not pregnant? Please help. I'm extremely worried...
