Can 'hydrochlorothiazide' Cause A Negative Home Pregnancy Test?

I am 37 @ 61", 143lbs. I currently take hydrochlorothiazide for hypertension. I had a menstrual cycle on 04June2011 before my tubal reversal on 10June. After my reversal I had another cycle which started on the 23 of June. I currently take hydrochlorothiazide at 1100 each day. Could this medication cause my home pregnancy test to result in negative.

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion hydrochlorathiazide doesn't have any effect on urine pregnancy test. The test is usually positive after a week after missed period. If test is negative repetition of test can be done after a week.If negative even then the pregnancy might be ruled out.Even stress also delays period. So relax.
