Can Additional 25mg Seroquel Be Taken To Curb Outbursts In Type1 Bipolar?
Hello I have been on 1200 mg of lithium for 30 years - last Feb. they told me the growing goiter on my neck was caused by taking lithium...I got scared after having lots of pain and pressure after my biopsy and self reduced to 900 mg of lithium and since i was not sleeping - my new psych. put me on 50 mg of Seroquel for sleep - its great...my one symptom of type 1 bipolar that is not well controlled is angry outbursts...if I took 25mg of Seroquel during the day would that help?

You can take seroquel during day time also. It would help to control your mood swings. Better to do it under supervision of your psychiatrist. Seroquel has sedative effect and after taking it at day time, may be you would get more sleep during day time. I would suggest to increase dose at night. Rest, discuss with your psychiatrist.
