Any Suggestion For Ear Pain After Taking Meftal-p Instead Of Cough Syrup?
Hello doctor, i have wrongly given meftal -p instead of cough syrup for 4 days , morning 5ml dose and night 5ml dose. He is having ear pain on 5th day and sleeping for the whole day and not having any food. He is 3 years old boy 12 kg in weight. Please suggest me what i have to do now... Thank you Vijay
Meftal-p is a safe syrup and this in fact reduces the pain and fever and can be given to your kid without any problem. The complications you described are usually seen when you give cough syrup for so long. In any case since it is very likely that your son is having an infection which is probably why he is not having much food and sleeping so much. So it is better to consult an ENT or a pediatrician as soon as possible and get a proper treatment wishing him a speedy recovery
