When To Give Measles And MMR Vaccinations ?

is measles vaccination can be given twice with in 3 months? 1 st dose is given at 9 month(oct 2010) and 2nd dose at 13th(jan 2011) month? Now when to give MMR vaccination(which needs 6 months gap).

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

We give measles vaccine at 9 months of age.

Then at the age of 5 months we give MMR Vaccine.

At 5 years of age we give MMR vaccine again. MMR vaccine contains measles, mums, rubella in it.

hi,thanks for query.Measles is given only once at age of nine months.Then at age of 13-15 months MMR is given,which also contains measles in it.This MMR again needs to be repeated at age of 5 years.
