Thanks for contacting HCM. From your description of the injury it sound like you have strained the medial lateral ligament of the knee. This ligament stabilizes the knee on the inside. You could also have a torn meniscus in the inside of the knee. I recommend that you try ibuprofen or Naprosyn, elevated the knee and use ice. If no improvement then seek medical attention
