Pregnant. Taking Mestinon For Myasthenia Gravis And Ascorbic Acid, Ocuvite. Continue Medication?

Hi, i am on my 27th weeks and will be due to deliver my first baby on the 19th of September. Currently, I am taking Mestinon, as maintenance for my Myasthenia Gravis condition as well as Ascorbic Acid and Ocuvite. I only knew about my pregnancy on my 22nd weeks and the midwife says, its too late for me to stop it so better to continue it but I wont be allowed to breastfeed. Since its my first baby, I am very conscious about what I am taking up. Is it right for me to stop it now or just continue as advised? Please help me. Thanks.

Hi,
Myeastenia gravis is an autoimmune neuromuscular disorder where Mestinon is the safest drug in pregnancy-with least chances of foetal effect. the maintanence dose should be continued under close supervision of your physitian.
Ocuvite is a multivitamine preparation which also provides antenatal needs. If your physician has advicedit, you should continue it.
My advice is to plan your delivary in a well equipped & specialized hospital-the doctor incharge being informed about your case-because baby in such patients ,sometimes need a special care after birth.
take care.
thank you.
