Will They Admit A Patient ST And T Wave Abnormality?

My daughter just had an EKG with results of sinus tachycardia, incomplete LBBB, and ST&T wave abnormality , consider lateral ischemia. She has tachycardia at times and we knew about the LBBB. Will they admit her because of the ST & T wave abnormality?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
ST and T wave abnormalities are usually associated with myocardial infarction.
There is also LBBB, lateral wall ischemia and tachycardia.
In such a situation there is possibility of developing arrhythmias and arrhythmias can be life threatening.
Thus at this point it is necessary to admit your daughter and start therapy to control tachycardia and arrhythmias.
Thrombolytic therapy may be required if there is any ongoing thrombosis.

Thanks and take care
