What Does My Liver Test Report Indicate?

Dear Doctor Greetings I had a test recently and the same shows Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST U/l 0 – 40 / GOT) 32 Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT / 73 U/l 0 – 41 GPT) | Microalbumin ( urine) 15.9 mg/L 0.0 - 20.0 | Creatinine 0.8 mg/L 0.7 - 1.2 Is there any serious matter for the above. Kindly advise Thanks - Shankar

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Based on the results you have provided, your liver function tests appear to be within the normal range. The AST (aspartate aminotransferase) and ALT (alanine aminotransferase) levels are both within the reference range. These two tests are commonly used to assess liver function and detect liver damage or disease.

Your Microalbumin and Creatinine levels also appear to be within the normal range. These tests are typically used to evaluate kidney function. However, it's important to note that interpreting lab results should always be done in the context of an individual's overall health, medical history, and other clinical factors.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
