My Body Is Resisting Insulin

Hopefully someone has heard of something like this? My doctors are baffled I'm 21 years old. Female. I've never smoke, never done drugs, rarely drink anything ever. My diet is typical of other 21 year olds. I've recently been diagnosed with PCOS, and Hypothyroidism. Lab results showed my body is resisting Insulin but not to the point where I'm diabetic. My doctors put me on Medroxyprogestrone 10mg to induce a period since I was absent of one for almost 8 months. i took that for ten days before switching to Junel for continual use. I'm also on Levothyroxine 100 mcg daily. I've been taking these medicines exactly as they say to on the drug website since march 1st. (the Medroxy started march 10th) and as of March 13th both of my breasts have swollen two cup sizes. The nipples are very tender and the skin is in a perfect circle symmetrical on each breast looking sun burnt. Very pink, slight temperature raise, it's not an allergy to soaps or bras, everything has been the same and there's no coloration on the very sides, underneath (in the fold), or above where the skin meets the bone or on the strap. There are no discolorations anywhere else on my body and I've been to two different doctors who have never seen anything like this and have no idea where to start. I'm very worried that no one has heard or seen anything like this before. I've had stomach issues for a while (nausea after/before/fasting/eating meals of any size or health range.) which other doctors have said was acid reflux. I've had tests done to show i do have acid reflux but since I began taking the Thyroid medicine there's been no pain until today. Today i woke up with my breasts even redder than they have been in the past month, a severe migrane, intense stomach pains that were not helped by going to the bathroom, and it feels like my uterus is being shredded. I've had my period since the Medroxy pills were over (march 20th) with no signs of stopping and was told it would go away eventually. But the pain is getting intense. Also for the past two weeks i've had a catch in my chest where i'll feel a need to cough and it feels like something is in my chest. Family said it was allergies but I've never had allergies before. I'm starting to worry and i'm not sure if I should be taking this to a hospital or just try to sleep it off.

Hi,

Your description does correlate with the medroxyprogesterone you have taken. So I suggest you to report back to your gynec for help. Also your thyroid levels have to be monitored regularly to assess your response to the thyroid medications.
