Hi,

I can understand your concern for bruise and its color change.

It is quite common to find the change of color from the red to blue and then Green in color you do not worry about the same. It is the normal cascade of cycle to change various colors in bruise part.

If the bruise recurs again then you can go for simple tests of platelet function and coagulation factors done routinely in all the simple laboratories to rule out the exact cause of the problem. If these tests are normal then you can rest assured and relieve your tensions regarding the bruise.
I hope these information's will help you.

Dermatologist Dr. Rashmi Singh's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,

I read your query and understood your concern.
There are various components of blood that give color to bruise. Green is due to biliverdin. Its absolutely normal to have a green bruise and later it turns normal

The lump under your skin is hematoma, due to collection of blood.

Apply some ice and do a compression bandage , and take an oral anti inflammatory like ibuprofen for relief of pain and swelling.
If you dont get relief consult your physician for drainage

hope I helped
