Would The Cholesterol Level Be Accurate If A Glass Of Milk Is Drunk 8 Hours Before The Test?

My age is 36 I did cholesterol test today and result is 237. That girk who was taking my blood asked me fasting period must be 12 hour and I said yes.. I forgot tht I drunk gkass of fresh milk about 8 hours ago.. is this result ok or not.. if not , how shall I control my cholesterol ? Advice pls

Hi and thanks for the query,
It is generally advisable to do the test stomach empty (that is, without eating). I do not think if doing the test after fasting for 8 hours would really alter the results much, especially of the test is done under normal standard conditions. However, an over night fast is the most appropriate. take your last meal by 8pm and get the test done in the morning is my advice. Kind regards
