hi, my friend had kidney cancer surgery to remove 30 percent of his one kidney about 2 months ago.he is now experiencing back pain,swelling on his side, hardness and stinging at the incision site . could his cancer have recurred or is this normal or would he possibly have an incisional hernia

It is common to have such symptoms after a major surgical procedure. So you should have a follow up with your surgeon and get it examined if there is any infection.
