Will White Spot On Tonsil Heal On Its Own Without Medication?

I have white spot on both sides of tonisl, went to doctor and strep was negative. I dont have sore throat but feel lots of post nasal drip and a cough. Doctor gave me antiobiotics, but I dont want to take them if I dont have to. Is this something that will eventually go away on its own

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding tonsillar enlargement with pus point, you have already consulted your doctor and doctor had advice you to take medicines. Any how you believe on natural recovery and don't wants to take medicines because neither you have sore throat nor streph infection.

Here I would like to tell you that you have now -

1- Post nasal drip.

2- Tonsillar enlargement with pus point.

These above are indicating that basically you are having chronic sinusitis which is giving post nasal drip and this drip is responsible for tonsillar enlargement and recurrent infection in throat. If you will not take antibiotic than both of these diseases will land on to chronic phase of disease and will give you trauble from time to time and there will always be risk of development of complications.

Therefore I would like to suggest you to please consult ENT specialist and go for thorough examination of Ear, Nose and throat and do as your specialist says to cure the disease.

Regards.
