Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,
In my everyday clinic i see many patients who have Diabetes and thyroid problems at the same time.
These are two different pathologies and should be treated separately. If the thyroid problem wouldn't be corrected it will interfere with your lipid profile, diabetes is also a condition that tends to raise your lipid level if not well controlled.
If you were my patient i would strongly recommend you to treat both the diseases. The increase of the sugar levels by eltroxine is not considerable, but the effect of not taking eltroxine is worse.
Hope i was helpful with my opinion.
