Will Postinor Cause Delay In Periods?

my last period was on the 9th of january.my bf and i had unprotected sex and the next day(in 11 hours) i took postinor-2.i took the first dose at 4.15pm and the second dose 12 hours after the first one.will the drug delay my period?my next period is expected tomorrow but there are no signs of getting period.could i be pregnant?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Emergency contraceptive is approximately 88% effective in preventing pregnancy. Since you used it correctly it would significantly reduce the chance of pregnancy occurring.

Its use can alter the period either its timing or intensity. This may be the reason you are not noticing any indication of bleeding as yet.

If your period is delayed significantly however, it would be best to de a pregnancy test. These are accurate at predicting pregnancy if done 11 to 14 days after conception.
